SYMBYAX capsules combine the active ingredients of two psychotropic agents:
- olanzapine
- fluoxetine hydrochloride
Statistical analysis is based on pooled data from two independent studies.¹ MADRS is Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale, consisting of 10 items. Individual study results: MADRS items statistically significantly improved in one study compared to placebo included: apparent sadness, reported sadness, reduced sleep, lassitude, inability to feel and pessimistic thoughts. MADRS items statistically significantly improved in the other study compared to placebo included: apparent sadness, reported sadness, inner tension, reduced sleep, reduced appetite, lassitude, inability to feel and pessimistic thoughts and suicidal thoughts.
Olanzapine is not approved for the treatment of bipolar depression.
